Title: Hantek 1008c died
Hello,
I have problem with Hantek 1008c, that i bought few months ago.
I connected the ch1 and ch7 of the scope, using x1 probes, to the 12V DC on my car. But the software freezed, and a little of white smoke went out of Hantek 1008, also smelled like burning plastic.
Before connecting the probes, I set the software to 5V/div for both channels.
What can I do now?
I can send the unit to service warranty, but that will cost about 50euro to send only 1 way.
Whan should I do now?
Please help.

Connect to computer and check whether the connection is successful.
Please disassemble the scope and check where was burned out, or upload a picture to study.

OK,
I opened the unit and I can only see damage to the U8 and that is, if I can see good, because of damage, HC244SJ.
There is no connection to the PC.

Sir, you can try to replace U8 (74HC244SJ).
If it is not good, please replace the device.

But, what happened? I connected the probes to the 12V DC? Can You tell what happened?

What else could be damaged in circuit, beside 74HC244SJ ?
