Title: Hantek DSO5202BM: Question on the oscilloscope specifications.
Edited by Oleg10011001 at 2016-11-1 18:54

The site hantek.com, in the specification of this model oscilloscopes, see "Maximum Input Voltage" reads as follows:

CAT I and CAT II: 300VRMS (10×), Installation Category;
CAT III: 150VRMS (1×);
Installation Category II: derate at 20dB/decade above 100kHz to 13V peak AC at 3MHz* and above. For non-sinusoidal waveforms, peak value must be less than 450V. Excursion above 300V should be of less than 100ms duration. RMS signal level including all DC components removed through AC coupling must be limited to 300V. If these values are exceeded, damage to the oscilloscope may occur.

It seems to be clear to say, however confuses me there Photo oscilloscope. The fact that its front panel next to the connectors for probes I see the following inscription: "300V CAT II". This inscription is consistent with that stated in the specifications section: "Maximum Input Voltage". However, the fact is that on the front panel of my oscilloscope I can see the inscription "400V CAT II" ... How does this affect the "Maximum Input Voltage"? Do I understand correctly that the DATA Specific scopes of this model have been improved, and the maximum input voltage was increased from 300Vrms to 400Vrms (x10)?

PS : Sorry my bad english.

The maximum input voltage of DSO5000B series should be 300Vrms.
