The max. measure voltage is -5V~+5V without any attenuation. The max. measure voltage is -50V~+50V with 10:1 attenuation.
Please select right attenuation probe to measure higher voltage with Hantek6022BE and Hantek6022BL device.

Hi I just bought a Hantek 6022BE PC oscilloscope and it came with a usb wire. This USB wire comes with a USB type B plug that goes into the oscilloscope and 2 USB type A plugs. One of this type A plugs is red and the other one is black. Following the device's Manual instructions "You should connect the A-Type Plug of USB cable to your PC USB port and connect the B-Type Plug of USB cable to oscilloscope USB port." Everything works fine and I'm only using the type A black port. My questions are (as nothing is said about this in the device's Manual)
1) What is the type A red usb port for?
I have read in this forum that the maximum measurable signal level without atenuation for this device is 5V with x1
2) If I connect both red and black type A usb ports to my PC will I get a maximum measurable signal level without atenuation of 10V with x1?
3) What is USBXI port used for?

1. Simply plug this cable's USB-B end into the device, and plug the two USB-A ends into open USB ports on one PC. This cable then pulls power from both USB port, and thus increases the output to the external drive. The red molded hood on the auxiliary USB-A connector enables the user to quickly distinguish between main and auxiliary power.

2. The max. measure voltage is -5V~+5V without any attenuation. The max. measure voltage is -50V~+50V with 10:1 attenuation.

3. USBXI port is used for USBXI instrument.

What do you mean by " increases the output to the external drive"? What happens if I don't connect the red USB port?

Generally speaking, you can connect only black port to communicate and power for the device. If the device can't work normally becase of power shortage, please connect the red one.
