In the installation folder of the PC software (C:\Program Files (x86)\Hantek2xx2) there is a file named "rescure_en.txt" check it and see if it helps in your case.

Yes thank you army but that procedure did not work. I have tried it several times and the unit will not turn on or allow Power + F1. What else can I try? What is arm2? Can I try that?

Have you installed the Dfuse driver first? https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stsw-stm32080.html

Also check the eevblog forum thread about these devices, you can find some more help there.

Thanks Army. I saw a message there that said to hold down F1 and then plug into pc. When pc recognises the Hantek to lift finger off F1. It entered DFU mode and I managed to repair the firmware.
