Last week I tried to update the firmware of the oscilloscope.
I tried it with two different USB sticks. Both sticks are formatted and works on my other systems.
1. Stick (USB 3.0):
No response from the oscilloscope.
2. Stick (2.0):
You can see the behavior on the following link on my homepage: Video from the USB issue
I didn't use any USB features (Save screenshot to USB stick, etc. ) before.
Faulty oscilloscope?
Thanks in advance! Author: amy Time: 2019-9-27 14:01
Please confirm the format of the USB stick is FAT32.
If it is FAT32, and the problem exists, please refer to this post to operate. https://www.eediscuss.com/forum. ... id=14945&extra= Author: krjdev Time: 2019-9-28 06:01
I have tried a third USB Stick (8GB) and the DSO recognize the stick.
But still running into a problem. The firmware upgrade always fails with error code -3.
I have also tried to format the stick with DiskGenuis. But didn't help.

Is it possible to save files to USB stick successfully?
Please confirm whether the firmware file is damaged.
You can download the firmware on this link and update again: http://hantek.com/en/ProductDetail_3_12167.html Author: krjdev Time: 2019-9-30 20:30
Yes, saving files on USB stick works.
Related to my post https://www.eediscuss.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=14947, can you also attach the firmware file?
Maybe there is a problem with my Internet connection. Author: krjdev Time: 2019-9-30 21:12
Okay, the update was successfully.
I have placed the ZIP file on the USB stick and extracted the firmware folder. -> Success
Before, I placed only the UPK file on the root directory of the stick. -> Failed with error code -3
Seems that the UPK file must placed in a folder. Can that somebody confirm? Author: OASJ2YSeeEhBQo1 Time: 2019-10-1 06:08 Edited by OASJ2YSeeEhBQo1 at 2019-10-1 06:10
Normally you just need to drop the upk file in the root of the stick.
