If you can use TTL serial port tool, please refer to the attachment to program arm1 and arm2:

Hi Amy.

Received some days ago a brand new 2d42. it was not with the last fw version so I decided to update it using DfuSe Demo package and HantekHTX2019110801.dfu.

I Uploaded the dfu file under "Upload Action" instead of using the "Upgrade" section. I noticed that as at the of the loading phase the scope did not reboot.
So I retried using the right section of DfuSe (Upgrade), but right after pressing the Upgrade button, it hangs in "Erasing Phase". After a bunch of minutes (more than 15) it was always there.

I had to detach it from the PC, but now it won't power-on any more.
I have found the software and instructions you provided, so I will try to follow them and make the scope revive.I will give you a feedback on that.

Just a couple of questions:- about USB-to-Serial adapter, should it be a 5V or a 3.3V ?
- do I have to connect power through the USB-C cable while connecting the USB-to-serial cable ?

Thank you in advance.

USB-to-Serial adapter should be 3.3V.
If you use usb-c cable to connect the scope to computer, you don't need to connect VCC connector of USB-to-Serial adapter.

Sorry to bother you but, there is something strange.
Done what you suggested through usb-to-serial cable worked but, after that, I wanted to repeat the update to the latest firmware.
Tried through DfuSeDemo, and got the same problem as before, so it hangs in "Erasing Phase".

I then unbrick newly the scope through the procedure. It worked again ok, but why I cannot upgrade to the latest firmware ?
I tried the DfuSe upgrade with older versions of the fw and with those images all went ok. Only the last fw version won't upload.
Is there a specific reason why ?

I noticed the last fw is 513KB, while the older ones are not more than the half. Could be that with my previous wrong action I have "broken" something within the flash memory ? Is there something I can do to solve this issue ?

Thank you in advance.

Understood. Fw dfu file is 513K as it was overwritten with the "Upload Action" I made.
So, it is not the right dfu file that should instead be around 220KB.
