Hi. I'm new here too.
I got my scope going, by putting in "DFU Mode".
2D42 is version "A". <-- You will need to remember it's, "A" later.

You can download "Hantek-2000" software here:  http://hantek.com/down.aspx?url= ... ek2000_Software.zip

At first ,it wasn't clear to me how to enter DFU mode so:

1 Remove the battery back cover and remove 2 batteries
2 Unplug the USB cable
3 Press and hold F1, plug in the USB cable and connect to the computer.
4 Release F1 immediately after the lower right corner (RUN/Stop) light flashes <--I released the F1 button just after when I saw the green light on ,|> (the play/pause button on the unit).
5 Click the program "Start" button

**Note, please make sure the computer has successfully installed the DFU driver! <--See on picture 3.

***Pictures are for 2D82 model update, but they are same models. Hantek 2D42,2D72,etc are "A" version, and only 2D82 is "B" version now.
****Onece again, there will popup window ,during the uptate process to select "A" or "B" firmware to update.

Thanks for your answer Pav,

i have already done these steps but for me it doesn't work.
i have done all the steps one more time and i have taken some pics :

the Hantek software is at latest version :

The driver Dfu is installated :

But there is a mistake when i run autoupdater; nothing happens ! only the same text again and again.

I press and hold F1, but the lower right corner (play / pause) light never flash.

the only light that flash is the power button when i plug usb

i have tried many time, one time no pressing F1, one time pressing and hold F1 and pressing and hold on/off button, ... but it's always the same result.

i have read on this forum that when update firmware fail, the device is brick, do you think it could be that ?

Аккумуляторы вынимал?
Компьютером никак не определяется?

Можно прошить через ST-Link или даже обычным USB-UART переходником.
Скорее всего достаточно прошить bootloader и обновится стандартным способом.

As ,I see from Your screenshots  "the device device is connected and the driver is installed properly".
So I don't think is't brick't.

I have tested twice, with the batteries, in this case the power button stay always on. Without the batteries, the power button is blinking. In the two case, with the hantek soft or with the dfu, the isddvice doesn't appear. When i try to force an rescue update with the hantek soft it display the device is connected with no end, and nothing else, nothing happen.

Sir, please operate as follow.

1. Remove the two batteries.
2. Open the device manager of your computer.
3. Press F1 and hold, connect the scope to the computer via a USB cable at the same time.
4. Is there a new device found in device manager?

Please upload a screenshot of device manager to check.

I have the same problem with a 2D42; bricked after trying to upgrade from the Hantek-2000 app.
I tried first with the rescue app; successfully put in DFU mode, but it failed with "bad state machine in firmware":

I tried a few more times, same error every time.
I then tried DfuSe Demo but all attempts to upload firmware failed:

Then it would not even enter DFU mode anymore; removed batteries, held F1 and inserted USB cable, power button flashes but Run/Stop button does not light up anymore.

How can I fix it? @amy?
