Maximum input voltage

This is the max input spec for the DSO4000 series:

Can somebody explain this to me in simple terms?

I want to use the scope to work on audio tube amplifiers. I think this says that the max AC+DC at the BNC for audio freqs is 300 volts, so 3KV at the tip of a 10x probe. Except the probe has a max voltage spec of 600V so that would be the actual limit at the probe.
