So I am trying to get the inductive clamp to be setup on the secondary ignition system. When I put the clamp on the spark plug wire it will read signwaves for a small amount of time then it will cause the program to stop, and say looking for device. I unplug the clamp and it goes back to connected. I also noticed when I disconnected the inductive clamp it shocked me. Is the clamp defective and letting too much current to go thru? Everything else has been working with the program and Hantek1008C just fine.

Hi .
I think you need to use a 20:1 attenuator in the scope channel line
This is also my question to Amy
Do we need to use a attenuatzor between the HT25 and the Scope Channel? is there any documentation for setting up the scope and HT25
as I did not find any information in the C1008 manual or on the Hantek web page for the HT25 pickup.
Please be so kind and inform us on the correct use of the HT25 with C1008

I have purchased and received the 20:1 attentuator and the same thing is still happening. Does this mean I have a defect on the attentuator?

probably interference from the electromagnetic field of the ignition coils. All hantek's have this problem.

any fix for the issue?

This looks like a common issue with the 1008C, there are multiples reports of the same problem. I tested many solutions and different devices and I believe it is a driver problem, not hardware.

What works for me most of the time is this procedure:
https://www.eediscuss.com/forum. ... 18872&fromuid=26055

Note the important part is to make sure that you remove ALL Hantek1008C drivers from the system, as explained in the thread I linked above.

You can also try to use different USB port from the computer.

My 1008c stopped working after using de inductive clamp and never worked again. Always looking for device. There?s any chance of warranty, I?ve bought it three month ago.
